Ultimate Gutter Guard of Birmingham has several certifications to better serve homeowners in Birmingham, Leeds, Forestdale, and the surrounding communities. We have several certifications including the green seal of approval, the EPA lead certification, and Energy Star certifications.
The Green “Seal of Approval” has come to represent reliability, integrity, and fairness. The Green Seal means that a product or a service has been tested by science-based procedures and has proven to work as well or better that other products or services in its class and that it has been evaluated without any conflict of interest or bias. The Green Seal’s evaluations are based on information and science using internationally recognized procedures and methods. In order to earn the coveted “Green Seal”, a product or service must meet the Green Seal environmental standards and requirements for the category as demonstrated by testing, evaluation, and a plant visit. The Green Seal distinguishes a product from its competitors that are unable to support their environmental assertions and standards. It provides a business an advantage in that it identifies a product as environmentally preferred and provides third-party corroboration of environmental claims.
As of April 22, 2010 The EPA – Environmental Protection Agency mandated the Renovation, Repair & Painting Rule. It now requires contractors and home improvement companies to practice lead-safe practices in an effort to prevent lead paint hazards created by renovation, painting, and repairs that may disturb lead-based paints in houses built before 1978. Ultimate Gutter Guard is proud to be an EPA Appointed Lead-Safe Certified company. We conduct lead-safe practices in all pre-1978 homes that meet the criteria for the Renovation, Repair & Painting Rule. In order to ensure our customer’s safety, all of Ultimate Gutter Guard’s installers are EPA Lead-Safe Certified and adhere to the stringent guidelines and procedures of the EPA.
If you are having home improvement work done on your home, make sure that the company you are dealing with is EPA Lead-Safe Certified.
Energy Star is a program that is run by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency. It helps individuals and businesses protect the environment through greater energy efficiency. The Energy Star label can be placed only on doors and windows that meet the specific U-value and shading coefficient ratings for one or more regions of the United States. The ratings of one window will be different from another due to the variables such as the style, glass used, and product design. Learn more about the ENERGY STAR program at www.energystar.gov.
